This grand 16-day private circuit starts in Casablanca and travels North to capital Rabat, coastal Tangier, and the blue streets of Chefchaouen. Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque – Rabat
Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, your private driver will meet you. Start by visiting the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world sitting right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Drive to capital city Rabat for an evening walk and overnight stay.
Day 2: Rabat Sightseeing – Asilah – Tangier
In Rabat, visit Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the oceanfront Kasbah of the Udayas. Drive north along the Atlantic coast, stopping at artistic coastal village Asilah before reaching Tangier for overnight.
Day 3: Tangier – Cap Spartel – Hercules Caves – Chefchaouen
Visit Cap Spartel where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea and explore the mythical Hercules Caves. Drive through the picturesque Rif Mountains into the iconic blue city of Chefchaouen.
Day 4: Chefchaouen Free Day (The Blue Pearl)
Enjoy a full free day wandering the blue-washed alleyways, cozy cafes around Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and local shops. Walk up to the Spanish Mosque in late afternoon for panoramic views of Chefchaouen at sunset.
Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Depart Chefchaouen towards the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis featuring preserved floor mosaics. Visit imperial city Meknes to see the monumental Bab Mansour gate before arriving in Fes for overnight.
Day 6: Fes Guided Tour with Official Local Guide
Explore Fes el-Bali medina with an official guide. Key stops include Al-Qarawiyyin University (world's oldest), Chouara Tannery, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Royal Palace golden doors.
Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Drive through Ifrane ("Morocco's Switzerland") and Azrou Cedar Forest to spot Barbary macaque monkeys. Pass through Ziz Valley palm groves into Merzouga. Ride camels across Erg Chebbi dunes to your luxury desert camp for dinner and Berber drums around a campfire.
Day 8: Full Sahara Desert Experience & Nomadic Exploration
Watch sunrise over the dunes. Tour the desert by 4x4: visit nomadic families living in tents, listen to spiritual Gnawa music in Khamlia village, see ancient lead mines in Mifis, and enjoy optional quad biking on the dunes.
Day 9: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Visit Rissani traditional market, then drive to towering 300-meter canyon cliffs at Todra Gorge. Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to sleep surrounded by red rock formations in Dades Valley.
Day 10: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou (Overnight)
Travel through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate (Atlas Film Studios). Arrive early at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage mud-brick ksar featured in Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay inside or right next to this ancient village.
Day 11: Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas (Tizi n'Tichka) – Marrakech
Cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m) with views of Berber villages and terraced fields. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon for your first evening at Jemaa el-Fna square.
Day 12: Marrakech Sightseeing with Official Local Guide
A full-day guided tour of Marrakech: visit Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, colorful souks, and optional afternoon visit to Majorelle Gardens and Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
Day 13: Marrakech – Argan Cooperative – Essaouira
Drive west towards Atlantic coast through Argan tree forests with stops at a local women's Argan oil cooperative. Arrive in relaxed Essaouira and check in to your coastal Riad.
Day 14: Essaouira Beach & Medina at Leisure
Relaxed day exploring Essaouira's UNESCO-listed medina, white-and-blue houses, old Portuguese ramparts, fishing port, and expansive sandy beach. Enjoy fresh seafood by the harbor.
Day 15: Essaouira – Coastal Road – El Jadida – Casablanca
Drive north along Atlantic coast passing through ceramics town Safi and historic Portuguese city El Jadida. Arrive in Casablanca for your final evening in Morocco.
Day 16: Casablanca Airport Transfer & Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca according to your flight departure schedule, concluding your 16-day Morocco grand journey.
