Three Days. Three Different Moroccos.
From Imlil in the Atlas Mountains to the Red Canyons of Dades
You don't have two weeks. You have a few days and a long list of things you refuse to miss.
Good news: Morocco doesn't need two weeks to get under your skin. It needs the right three days.
On day one, you're walking through walnut groves and Amazigh villages in Imlil, with Mount Toubkal watching over you. On day two, you're inside the mud-brick walls of Ait Ben Haddou, then standing beneath the red cliffs of the Dades Valley. By day three, you're on your way back to Marrakech with a story most visitors never get to tell.
Short on time, not on adventure. This is the Atlas Mountains in their most concentrated form.

Tour Highlights
Full Tour Itinerary
Early start, and worth it. By 07:30 you're leaving Marrakech behind and climbing into the Atlas Mountains toward Imlil Valley (1,740m).
Your mountain guide meets you there, and for the next two hours the only soundtrack is your footsteps. Walnut groves. Terraced fields. Amazigh villages stacked into the hillside, with Mount Toubkal rising above them.
After a fresh mountain lunch, the road takes over. You cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m) and descend into the desert foothills, where the landscape turns from green to gold. Tonight you sleep near the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
Today you walk through a film set that is centuries older than cinema.
After breakfast, a guided walk takes you inside the mud-brick ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, the fortress village behind Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Then the road runs past Ouarzazate, through the Skoura palm grove and into Kelaat M'Gouna, the Valley of the Roses.
By afternoon the walls close in. Red gorge cliffs rise on both sides as you reach the Dades Valley, with its famous "Monkey Fingers" rock formations and the zig-zag road of Tisdrine climbing the mountain.
One last morning in the canyons. Take in the cliffs and the river gardens while the valley is still quiet.
Then the long road west, with stops that earn their place: Kasbah Taourirt or the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, and panoramic coffee breaks as you cross the High Atlas once more. You roll into Marrakech around 17:30 to 18:30, tired, happy, and carrying a trip's worth of stories.
